My mother bought these cloths for our newborn as I was very shy about breastfeeding out in public. They are so large that you can have your whole top lifted and bra off without any inch of your skin being seen by anyone else, with baby underneath sheltered by the sun, yet still able to breath because of the light fabric. As he was born in the summer they also worked well to shade him from the sun when out for walks in his pram, but still letting enough light and air in so he wasn't in darkness. We also started to swaddle him from the age of 3 weeks and again these were perfect to do this, as they are so large, until he was 5 months old when we stopped. I highly recommend these cloths and its true what it says on the pack, they do get softer with every wash!
