The Hippychick Hipseat is a back supporting belt, with an integral padded foam shelf, developed to allow adults to carry their children naturally on their hip without the usual strains on the back.

Specifically designed to address one of the root causes of adult back pain, the seat provides a firm shelf for the child to sit on and supports their increasingly heavy weight from underneath. Instead of twisting the spine, the back stays straight and the child is tucked into the chest on whichever side is more comfortable for the wearer, providing comfort and security for both adult and child.

'LOVE IT. OCCASIONALLY ITS A LIFE SAVER.'

Strengths:

Great for carrying baby whilst doing other things.

Weaknesses:

You have to find it before picking up the baby(!) (doesnt have a tracking device) As a result, I dont use it ALL the time.

Overall:

My son was 10lb at birth and has grown up what you might call a 'chunky' baby. When he's teething and needs lots of cuddles the belt is a life saver because he is just too heavy to carry around. The other time that I love the belt is when I am organising to get out of the house and he becomes tired. I can carry him around on it to stop him crying and finish off a few last minute jobs before leavng. I think they are expensive, but worth it.

Very easy to use, frees up one of your hands and little ones love sitting in it!

A great buy although a bit pricey, got mine on ebay for £16 and was in great condition!

'Brilliant for toddlers. My 2-year-old is happy to sit on it although I do still have to hold onto her'

Strengths:

You aren't carrying baby on your hip which is better for you and baby, great as tots get bigger and heavier, redistributes weight through back and shoulders so you aren't feeling as strained

Weaknesses:

It takes a bit of time to put it on correctly, there are no straps to secure your child

Overall:

This is a great choice for toddlers who are able to walk but tire easily. The Hipseat means tots can be be easily and painlessly carried when needed.
