This special range was created with mild and gentle natural ingredients to ensure babies skin receives the tender loving care it needs. The pure plant ingredients include soothing extracts of biodynamically grown calendula and organic chamomile create a range that is warming, nourishing, hydrating and nurturing. The range is free from synthetic fragrances, colour, preservatives and raw materials derived from mineral oils, and is suitable for use from birth onwards. Approximately 800,000 biodynamic Calendula flowers are hand-picked from the Weleda garden each year for our Weleda Baby range. Calendula is renowned for soothing damaged or irritated skin. A natural antiseptic, the plant also contributes gentle antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. The golden flowers blossom under intensely warming sunlight. This vitality is captured in our fresh-from-the-garden formulations, and is dermatologically-tested.
The Weleda Baby range is already recommended by 70% of Midwives in Germany (Emnid-Studie 2003) and understandably: it's been dermatologically-tested not just on healthy skin, but also on easily-irritated skin that is prone to dermatitis and eczema. This means the range is also ideal for older children or adults who have to take special care of their skin.
